Opening Hours

The Whisky Shop is open  for you to purchase Whisky in Auckland from:

10.00 am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday,

10.00 to 7pm Thursday and Friday,

10.00 am to 5pm on Saturdays.

We are closed Sundays and public holidays.

The ultimate single malt experience: The Whisky Shop is absolutely all about whisky. Situated in the heart of Auckland NZ, the only specialist shop on the North Island. We are both passionate and knowledgeable about our product. With over 450 different bottlings of whisky to choose from at any one time, The Whisky Shop is a whisky lover’s dream. As well as the classic distillery bottlings, we also offer a huge assortment of single malts carefully sourced, selected, aged and bottled by discerning independent bottlers. Many of these casks come from distilleries that have long since ceased to exist, or have been ‘mothballed’.

Alongside single malt, blended Scotch and Irish whiskey, we also stock Bourbon, rye, single grain whisky and all the best blends. Globally, you will find single malts from countries around the world, including New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

On our 'Special'  Whisky Lovers Fantasy Shelf behind the counter we have an array of rare malts. Some are expensive bottlings and others are unusual, hard to find or the last remaining drops.

A range of whisky available for sampling to Try Before You Buy. The small price tag on these drams is refundable against purchase of that whisky

The Whisky Shop promotes responsible drinking. We want your sampling experience to be a safe one. Please eat & drink plenty of water whilst sampling. Ask us about safe transport options and available food.

At The Whisky Shop online, we aim to:

• Provide easy access to over 400 different labels or bottlings of Whisky at any one time.
• Provide a useful source of information for those interested in furthering their Whisky knowledge
• Provide a Society, The Uisge Beatha Society (NZ) that offers members the opportunity of first refusal on many amazing bottlings and whisky events, taste or purchase some of the rarer malts, and ultimately, the opportunity to purchase a share of speciality selected society casks.
