For this years release, Dr Bill Lumsden decided to do away with the still's purifier which is said to bring fruits and florals to the spirit's heavy peat by capturing the heavier compounds and condensing them back into the still.  The result is an experimental expression that distorts Ardbeg’s classic balance between fruit and smoke.  Deep and earthy tones backed with notes of peppermint, cardamom, dark chocolate and eucalyptus, brought together by untameable smokiness.
